Noontec audio issues (1 post)

I have a noontec vt-9 media streamer. I have it connection via cat5 cable to my computer. It is connected to my onkyo 7.1 receiver. My problem is if I play any Flac or MP3 music files from my computer to sound quality if flat and sounds like the dynamic range is very narrow. When I play wav files they sound fine. My question is, is this the problem of the noontec or am I missing something? I was wondering if I had my music in a NAS box would this decode these files first and there fix the problem. Thanks.
