Laptop connection to Home Broadband (1 post)

I am currently connected to ADSL Broadband with my home Desktop. My question is: If I purchase a Laptop can I connect it to my current setup, or do I need a completely separate internet connection for the Laptop alone??? Please tell me how if it possible, I am sick of trying to talk to sales reps who really don't seem to know what I am on about!
