    FujiFilm FinePix S8100fd 16/07/2008 13:10:00

A slightly upgraded version of the S1000fd, the FujiFilm FinePix S8100fd features several key improvements over its sibling. This time around sensor shift stabilisation is included and several of the speed issues have been rectified. While you will pay more for this unit, it is definitely worth it if you're after an advanced camera with a large zoom.

    FujiFilm FinePix S1000fd 14/07/2008 16:20:00

With its 12x optical zoom and 10-megapixel sensor, FujiFilm's FinePix S1000fd is relatively powerful but it lacks a few essentials — such as optical image stabilisation. This makes it difficult to take full advantage of the long lens.

    FujiFilm FinePix F100fd 27/06/2008 15:40:00

Fujifilm's FinePix F100fd is a solid, top-tier compact camera. Sporting a very high resolution 12-megapixel (Mp) sensor and a fairly hefty array of features, it will suit users looking to get a little more out of their point-and-shoot camera.

    FujiFilm FinePix J10 05/05/2008 16:40:00

Sitting slightly lower in FujiFilm's FinePix camera lineup than the J50 we looked at recently, the J10 is nonetheless similar in many ways. It is a basic entry-level camera targeted at users who need a point-and-shoot-unit with no frills. Its feature set is fairly basic, and its images, while serviceable, are a little below par at times; however, the low price tag may make this an enticing option for some buyers.

    FujiFilm FinePix J50 30/04/2008 10:20:00

FujiFilm's FinePix J50 is an entry-level, 8.2Mp point-and-shoot camera targeted at users who want something with an above average zoom. The FinePix J50 packs in a 5x optical zoom lens while maintaining a slim body. This unit has a simple interface that will suit novice photographers. However, it has a few image quality and interface issues that mean it might not be an ideal choice.

    FujiFilm FinePix A900 23/01/2008 09:00:33

It's rare to see a camera coming with a 9 megapixel sensor. Most companies tend to jump from 7 or 8 megapixels straight up to 10, so FujiFilm's A900 is a bit of an anomaly. With an attractive price tag, this camera is definitely towards the entry level side of things offering competitive image quality but little in the way of features. We also found the performance a little sluggish which will irritate some users.

Holiday gift guide: Digital cameras 17/11/2007 07:10:16

New point-and-shoot digital cameras boast resolutions as high as 12 megapixels, but because even entry-level models capture plenty of pixels, resolution just doesn't matter as much as it used to. So this year, features to look for include big LCDs (3-inch displays are pretty common, and make taking and playing back shots easier); face detection, wherein the camera can recognize people and adjust exposure accordingly; image stabilization, which can help reduce blurriness (somewhat); and the ability to pre-format pictures for uploading to photo-sharing sites or photo blogs. Many pocket-size point-and-shoot models are available in snazzy colors--red, black, pink, blue, and purple, so you don't have to settle for a boring old silver one. Want something more serious and sophisticated? Low-end digital SLR prices seem to have stabilized, but you can find good deals on them. Of course, they take up lots of room in a backpack.

    FujiFilm FinePix Z10fd 10/10/2007 13:29:25

It isn't everyday that we get a product into the office that comes in a 'wasabi green' colour scheme. However FujiFilm's FinePix Z10fd is just that. Coming in a variety of colours it is certainly a stylish device that has a number of cool features such as wireless connectivity to IRSimple compatible devices. But its pictures leave quite a lot to be desired and so if you are at all concerned with image quality you may wish to look elsewhere.
