Bang & Olufsen — one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-end AV equipment — has opened a flagship ‘glass cube’ showroom in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. The two-story showroom features the full Bang & Olufsen (B&O) product range, as well as a BeoLiving Room built to demonstrate the experience of home cinema integration in your lounge room. For a peek at the new Apple-esque showroom, take a look at the following slideshow. Since the 1990s, B&O has opened exclusive showrooms selling directly to users across the globe, with 15 stores in Australia alone. Bang & Olufsen considers its ‘glass cube’ showroom to be a benchmark for all future stores. Encased in striking glass panels, it bears a striking resemblance to the Apple Store launched in Sydney’s CBD earlier this year. Everything from the recently launched BeoVision 4 plasma television to B&O classics like the BeoSound 9000 CD master can be seen and experienced in the new showroom. An example of Bang & Olufsen’s arresting design work. The new showroom has been architecturally designed with acoustic properties in mind. The six-metre-high ceilings provide plenty of breathing space for sound and hardware. The uniquely designed full BeoLiving Room can be glimpsed in this picture, in the upper left-hand corner. All visitors will be offered personal demonstrations from the showroom’s knowledgeable staff. B&O speaker detail. The new showroom is located at 25 Grenfell Street in Adelaide’s CBD. Founded in 1925 in Struer, Denmark, Bang & Olufsen is world renowned for its distinctive range of quality consumer electronic products. It manufactures a range of televisions, music systems, loudspeakers, telephones, medical and multimedia hardware.
