The Omnia is Samsung’s attempt at pushing Windows Mobile as far into the background as possible, but it’s certainly not perfect. With more tweaking to the TouchWIZ interface and a bit more speed, this could potentially knock the iPhone off its perch. As it stands though, it's an admirable handset without being outstanding.

The i780 improves the usability of an otherwise regular Windows Mobile 6 device by offering a redesigned home screen and an optical joystick.

The stylish yet feature packed M600i is an interesting, yet welcome addition to the market. Its lack of WiFi and camera are the only sour points of what is otherwise a solid smart phone.

The Dopod S301 is definitely something different, even if it doesn't include Wi-Fi. If you are looking for a compact smart phone that's stylish yet still packed with most features, then this may fit the bill.

A solid but not outstanding smart phone, the i320N is lacking in a few key specifications, most notably the lack of 3G support and slower Bluetooth and USB interfaces.

Although it lacks Wi-Fi, the HTC Touch Dual is a big improvement over the original model, largely thanks to an improved TouchFLO interface, HSDPA capabilities and a faster processor.

There have been some good improvements to the Mio A702 over its predecessor, the A701, and while the navigation wasn't overly effective, it is a hybrid device and can't be expected to do everything perfectly.

A solid, if not outstanding entry to the smart phone market, the BlackJack is a mixed bag. It has HSDPA, an excellent display and good email functionality, but the inability to edit documents and the lack of Wi-Fi are sour points.

The 8800 adds built-in GPS to a device already packed with features. Combined with the design overhaul, this sleek and stylish BlackBerry is definitely a winner.

The Treo Pro is Palm’s most stylish smartphone yet. Good looks, ease of use and the latest features make this a well-rounded choice.

The HTC Touch Dual 850 sports a QWERTY keyboard rather than the standard nine-key layout. An improved TouchFLO interface, HSDPA capabilities over Telstra's Next G network and a fast processor combine to make this an excellent smartphone.
