Project Engineer - Data & IP Networks

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the company's Systems Integrations group. The team is responsible for managing a major NSW Upgrade Project which includes designing IP and RF networks for with a government organizations.

The role:

  • Liaise with customers and project team to document and clarify solution requirements
  • Liaise with Operational Support team members with respect to design and installation decisions
  • Describe how the design and solution relate to the requirements
  • Assist in resolving technical issues during all stages of the project
  • Make and record technical decisions.
  • Knowledge Network Architecture knowledge sharing
  • Commitment to delivering assigned tasks within agreed schedule

The candidate:
  • Excellent understanding of Communication systems, Data and IP Networks and protocols
  • Excellent understanding of network management systems and protocols
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer in telecommunication or similar systems
  • Demonstrable significant experience working with customer requirements and high-level solution design
  • Experience working with and in front of customers Excellent written and oral communication
  • It would also be desirable to have knowledge of P25 networks, RF Radio, Virtualisation, VMWARE, Microwave Radio equipment to Cores, Backbone and Interconnections SQL and WAN / LAN or experience working in a Datacentre
