Kogan gives you 9 extra inches for $9 less!
MELBOURNE, Australia, 2nd June 2010 – Kogan Technologies today launched Australia's cheapest integrated Blu-ray LCD TV, making Blu-ray home theatre technology affordable for all Australians.
The new Kogan 32” Full HD LCD with Blu-ray combines a Samsung 1080p panel with a built-in BD 2.0 region free Blu-ray player, HD tuner, and USB input for multimedia playback for only $679.
It shatters the price on the closest product in the Australian marketplace. JB Hi-Fi is selling a Palsonic 23” LCD TV with integrated Blu-ray for $688. The Kogan 32” LCD with Blu-ray gives you an extra 9 inches of screen real estate for $9 less than JB Hi-Fi's cheapest advertised price.*
It is currently available for pre-sale with free delivery for a very limited time.
Ruslan Kogan said the new TV brings Blu-ray to the masses in Australia.
“The adoption of Blu-ray in Australia is growing rapidly, and with products at prices like these, it's going to grow even quicker.
“We've been testing this for months in order to create the best product at the lowest possible price. After consultation with our customers through the Kogan blog, Twitter, and direct conversations, we've thrown the gauntlet down to the big name brands.
“Only a small group of companies have managed to release LCD TVs with integrated Blu-ray players to the Australian market, yet it's something our customers are constantly asking for. The products already on the market are significantly overpriced.
“The only other products we could find were a Palsonic 23” from JB Hi-Fi at $688 and a Sharp 40” at $1996.*
“We're thrilled to once again offer the best value consumer electronics to all Australians and I want to challenge retailers like JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, and Dick Smith to beat us on this price,” Kogan said.
The Kogan 32” Full HD LCD TV with Blu-ray is available at www.kogan.com.au from today, and will ship to customers from July 2.
