printing in greyscale

For some unknown reason my Canon MP510 Multi Printer Scanner won't pring in greyscale. Has anybody got any suggestions. I tick the greyscale box but it wont print. The paper in the printer goes through ok but nothing prints

Is it printing text when grayscale isn't checked?

Also, are one of your black cartridges empty?

Best bet would be to try a few of the printer's maintenance tasks like cartridge cleaning and printhead alignment to ensure there is nothing blocking the cartridges from printing.

Greyscale Printing

Thanks very much for your advice James. Did a deep print head clean a couple of times and now everything is going along fine. Once again thanks for your help it is very much appreciated
