HP C309a
I hope someone can help with this. I bought an HP C 309a in September and installed the software on WinVista 32-bit. I scanned numerous 2-sided docs to Acrobat files. I now have a new computer, Win7 64-bit. The 2-sided scanning feature is gone. Not only that, but I also have a new laptop with WinVista 32-bit OS, and when the software installs from the CD (while connected to the Internet), it no longer gives a 2-sided option. It has simply disasppeared.
When I contact Tech Support to ask them what happened here, they mule-headedly insist that the machine does not support 2-sided scanning, even when I point out that I have been doing exactly that with this machine since September! One gal responded that "we must scan 2-sided docs manually." I guess "we" must, unless "we" want to drag the old computer out of the closet, hook it up, and scan from there. This is the only response I can get from them--they totally ignore my comments about having software on a machine that WILL scan 2-sided docs.
This is the main feature I wanted when I bought this machine. Help!!

Hi Ignise,
To clarify, was this option available in HP's scanning software or directly from the printer's control panel? Also, are we talking about two-sided scanning as in the printer scans one side, spits it back out the automatic document feeder and scans the other side?
When you installed the drivers on the new computer you say the Internet was connected. Did it ask you to download new software/drivers?
Hopefully this will help me and others try to assist you.
