Recomendations on a laptop

Hi Looking at buying a laptop in the $1500 to $2000 range.

I like the Toshiba laptops (had one a few years ago and it never gave me any trouble), but am willing to consider others. (have looked at A500/026 and A500/O3Q).

My min specs are: 2.2 Ghz processor, 4 Gb RAM, DVD/DVDRW, 512 Gb dedicated graphics card. All else I am flexible on, (but a faster processor would be great).

Trying to balance screen size vs overall unit weight too, so what is best there? (max would be a 16" for portability yes)? Have heard that some of the newer Toshiba Laptops have reflective screens though, (can anyone say how much of a problem this is)?

Also trying to decide whether or not to go with a 64 bit O/S? I hear that in order to maximise 4 Gb or more of RAM a 64 bit O/S is advantageous.

Hoping this computer will last me several years, so want to get the best I can when I am ready to purchase.

My main use is surfing the net and playing games on certain websites (hence needing plenty of RAM and a good graphics card), document creation and editing and photo editing.

Thanks

Suggestion

For just under $2000 (after 10% coupon discount) you can get a Dell XPS16 with i7 720 QM 6G and 1G 4670 video card and full HD screen. Thinking about getting one myself. Dont forget to apply discount coupon to bring it under 2000.

that's a good deal indeed ...

$993 for all that is indeed a very good deal. I had a look at hp but couldn't find the dv6t quad with your specs for below 1k. In fact, the blue-ray super-multi isn't even available under the dv6t.
