i have to say i completely agree about the screen quality. But it's a little unfair that you're comparing it to the ASUS UX31A which has an IPS display (and is about $200 more). so of course the ux31a has better viewing angles.
about the resolution, i dont understand why people think so lowly of 1368x766 as compared to 1600x900. Yes you do get more screen real estate, but the fact is, on a 13.3" screen, things WILL get hard to read for being too small if you're running a 1600x900 screen.

I just bought one of these a few days ago - but with the core i7 processor. I have to say it's just fantastic - really can't fault it. I'm running Linux VMs, office, and a whole load of browser tabs and it's smooth as silk. The good touchpad in conjunction with win 8 makes you feel like you're using a tablet and the back-lit keyboard is a nice little bonus - hammering out work at night is no longer a problem! I thought for the price they could have done a bit better with memory - but with a good SSD it's probably not really an issue. The fan is loud occasionally - mostly when Java freaks out and then it quickly dies down. Anyways - nice bit of kit...
