This system is fantastic, we haven't had an issue with ours - it's fast, reliable and cheap to run.

I bought this printer 12 months ago and am very, very pleased with it. I have not had a paper jam which was the downfall of my last printer. This one scans to computer or memory stick, uses very little ink and has all the functions I need as a teacher planning lessons. I would recommend it for a small business.

Easily the worst decision I've made for awhile. Bought it through the Apple store thinking it would be a good product. It's not.

This would be a great printer if the paper feeder worked. However, being one of the first processes in order to print, it is the most frustrating printer I have EVER had. It can take 30 minutes to print 5 pages, simply because it cannot feed the paper into the printer. Bloody useless... I would like to throw it out the window.

This is a realy poor choice, The scanner is so slow, from ADF to stored document is at least 1 minute per page, good luck scanning 200 pages.

I brought this printer for our office and i've got to say that I am so impressed with it, that was until I rung HP only to find out that there is no way to import Email addresses into the printer you have to re key every address all over again...What a pain in the rear end, I can't believe that they didn't think of that like Hello...

wireless +
fast +
refills not expensive +
terrible output paper tray - (paper ends up all over the floor, but can live with that)
very good print quality +
not an ink guzzler +

Excellent printing (photo and documents), faxing, scanning and copy machine. So far I am very satisfied. I use if for my home use, however very high load. No bad point at all.

I bought the 8500A 2 months ago. It worked ok for the first month. It was a little slow to print, but doable. Then there was an automatic update and everything went bad. Not able to use the feeder feature to scan, I called HP. I spent 3 hours on the phone with an HP Tech who determined that the update damaged the firmware. Now I have to scan 1 page at a time from the scan table. Also, it randomly turns off and won't turn back on until it's ready. I've only had it 2 months, so I'm taking it back. I have had HP printers for the last 20 years, but I wouldn't recommend this one to anybody.

Please do not buy this printer! Despite its captivating features, I have had several problems with it, especially with wireless connection which is too slow and weak: if you want to print big files you have to connect the printer to your PC with a USB cable. Quality is more or less satisfying.. but process printing stops everytime and is noisy. I have had too many technical difficulties that make me change this printer time and time again with the same model (the product was in warranty). Technical support phone line is great, but the last time I called the customer care for a problem, an assistant told me that HP would have replaced the product with a new one but I didn't have to ship back the defective printer because they had too many printers of this model in repair..
