Pros
Dell Inspiron 2330 touch screen set up is easy
Cons
Screen has a haze all over it that is Not repairable

I made the mistake of ordering the touch screen. I have had it for 5 months and am not able to return it as Dell will not accept it as a returned item. The problem has existed from the start and I just thought it was my old age eye sight not the screen or computer. But I kept straining to read things with the white background and finally asked my wife what she thought. She immediately responded that the screen is blurry.
I called dell and they replaced the LCD - no change. They then returned and replaced the mother board that also had the video card on it. The screen was better but still was blurry with a haze and still difficult for me to read.

I was told by a best buy geek that Dell has placed a covering over the touch screen, probably for its protection, and that that covering is why it is blurry, hazy and not crisp and clear like I would expect. Of course Dell techs deny that there is anything on it but I have seen the difference with other monitors both Dell and Sony and Apple. No comparison, the Dell I have is the worst of the worst.
No doubt there is a problem with this screen and I am too old to keep straining to look at a computer screen every day that I need for work. Dell will not exchange it for the non-touch screen so I guess I will have to throw it into the dumpster and go buy one that has a glass screen with no coverings.
To think I have bought and used many Dells over the years but will never do it again cause they will not take care of the problem.

Pros
Dell 2330 Smooth Setup - new touch interface works well
Cons
Looking forward to older software being aware for the touch experience

This is my 5 DELL PC purchase and has been the smoothest machine to set up.
The jump to a touch screen when using Windows 8 was a smart choice. I also include both a wireless keyboard and mouse being a long time windows users. I find the tiles interface a great place to casually check email and FB a great experience. The only down side so far is that the Microsoft Office 2010 is desktop centric yet so wish it was a bit more touch aware. But basic functioning is solid with the touch for moving windows around, etc. I bought this unit as it was stated to drive external monitor as I have a recent 24 inch. I am able to connect to it easily with the VGA port only. Note: the HDMI connector is only inbound to the 2330. This was a point I had asked about but got some miss communication before my purchase.

On whole great unit so far, I have had it one week adding device has been smooth even recognizes my older HP printer better that win 7 did. This was a great way to transition from my prior desktop. Final observation spend some time with youtube on the tiles feature of WIN 8 before you purchase. It was easy enough but that upfront made this past week a breeze.
