Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX1 camera

This apprears to be a very nice camera, but I recently bought a Fujifilm X10 because its more retro, has an excellent viewfinder(once you get accustomed to it)and the lens zooms by rotating it which is much more natural for DSLR users. There are several quality cameras in this class, but I immediately rejected those without a viewfinder, its a critical part of the photographic experience for me. I got mine online from an authorized dealer for $575, a bargin. The only negative is that the very desirable lens shade is way too expensive at $65. So far I love this camera and would highly recommend it over any of its viewfinerless competitors. The GX1 is a very nice camera, but still too much like a high end point and shoot. I know that to a large degree enjoying photography is the viseral feel of the equipment and I've been taking pictures for over 50 years and I know what I like. Buy the X10 instead if you're adding this type of camera to your collection, its got a great feel.
