JVC RV-NB50S BoomBlaster

Great sound for a large portable unit. Good features like timer and sleep function. Easy to read LCD display. Very easy to set up and use. Very good and easy to use remote control unit. Good radio, I'm not too fussed about the lack of am on the radio. The fm works well, and this is what I listen to a lot these days anyway. Shoulder strap isn't an issue for me. No hissing from the speakers like other brands I have owned. Quiet CD mechanism. Unfortunately I discovered that the RV-NB50 isn't comparable with the latest iPod nano touch. Fortunately I still have my old third gen model to use with the RV-NB50. I got it for a good price too. Overall, if your looking for a portable beast, take a good hard look at this one. I would have given a full five stars, except for the lack of comparability with the latest iPod nano.
