    Irritating fann noise and hum

What most reviewers seem to have missed is that placed next to the wall even in sleep mode the bass unit emits an irritating hum and whir. I can only assume it has a fan for cooling that is constantly whirring. If you are not watching TV or there is a quiet passage the noise can be discerned. To be honest no audio product for serious monitoring should have a fan fitted.
