Where's Android 2.3?

This product looks and performs very much like the HTC Desire but costs half as much.

The standard features work reliably and most processes are simple and elegant. Battery life is decent, particularly with the Wifi off and I'm impressed at the navigation options. The camera is not that great but it is a phone, after all. I often listen to podcasts or music with the phone and find it reliable in that regard.

After using it for a few months the main - and minor - frustrations are that the browsers (I've tried a few) are sometimes a little slow and that sometimes I have to manually reconnect to 3G for data or to the Wifi network (even though it is set to never sleep). Also, the latest update to Android 2.2 stopped the swype keyboard from working.

Overall amazing value and a robust Android phone.

I am using it and there is lots of problem in Huawei U8800 IDEOS X5 that i faced.
1.battery is very poor. i have seen that many sites have shown its talk time 6 to 8 hours on 2G.But actually it is very less, on using just GPRS and switching off wifi, gps etc battery lasts for only 3 hours, which is very disappointing.
2.sometimes microphone stops working and i need to restart the phone.
3.it takes almost 30 min. to detect sim card after restarting the phone.
4.sound quality is bad and very low.
5.its stand by time is also very less.

Pros
Value for money
Cons
Lack of dedicated camera-button

I have one of these and my touch sensitive buttons are backlit.
And I do not agree on it being sensible to sunlight. I have had Nokias for several years and they all were damn near impossible to see anything on in sunlight. This one is a lot better. :)
The only thing I don't like is the lack of a camera-button. It's not excactly easy to touch the screen to take a picture without shaking the phone so pictures tend to get blurry.

I love, love, love this phone, have had mine now for a month. As others have stated, it can seem a bit sticky especially if you have lots of widgets. Price wise though, this is a top little phone. It takes lovely pics. I personally would of loved to see the 2.3 ginger bread upgrade cause i think that would have resolved the "at times sticky issue" but over all - THANK YOU CHINA :)

I have had my Ideos x5 about 6 weeks now and generally I am extremely pleased. For the price they retail, it is a good as the HTC Desires the my work colleagues carry. The screen brightness and colours are more vibrant than the HCT or the Iphone that my wife owns.

I didn't ever think I would see the day the my wife would want to give up her Iphone but she now wants to exchange her Iphone with my Huawei, Unbelievable.

Apart from an initial disappointment with the smoothness of wifi connectivity, which was overcome quickly by setting WiFi sleep policy to never(Does not chew-up battery), the only other negative I have experienced a couple of times was a spurious reboot for an known reason (but even this seems to have settled).

All in all, Its a great Phone at a budget price.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
