The price

Don't do it. do not buy a Medion. yes the price is great but if you ever need to send it for repairs you will have to wait 6 weeks and then they'll send you a faulty machine again.

Medion customer service STINKS.

Medion customer service is probably the worst you will ever experience. You'll soon forget the price as the frustration of dealing with Medion customer service will make you wish you'd paid a bit more elsewhere.

Price, Looks, Bundled software, Built in Wireless, USB 3.0 ports
Speed, Keyboard layout (that stupid short shift key!)

This is my 3rd Aldi Akoya PC over the last 8 years. Each has been a good machine and the price was extremely good for the quality parts that were inside. The increase in HDD size is welcome, as is the USB 3.0 ports. The only thing I really don't like about the system is the RAM. Who in their right mind makes a 64bit Windows 7 platform and only gives it 4Gig RAM. I'll be upgrading my RAM to 16Gig, which is where it should have been from the begining. Considering the low price of RAM, this is a major oversight by Medion when planning the construct of this device.
The only other thing I can think of for improving the platform would be to have some sort of dashboard or interface that lists the software associated with the PC. I have many of the applications (or variations of them) which I'd prefer to load and use, such as anti virus, MS Office and DVD burning. What I'd prefer is to have a list at start up that I can tick to install the items I want, rather than going back after initial start up and trying to delete things like anti virus and Office 10.

First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
