    Android contacts

Just purchased the 2x from Harvey's with free HDMI cable. I previously have owned samsung mobiles and was going to wait for the Galaxy s2. It is for business so the cost difference was not a factor. After reading many reviews on both phones it came down to the physical size and the screen. After seeing the LG screen and trying the phone I could not want for anything more. After holding the 2x and knowing that the s2 would be lighter, thinner and larger I realised that it was not for me. It is fast silky and solid, connects to all my Bluetooth devices, sound is brilliant, HDMI works straight away, It installed and runs all my software including Pimlical Calendar program. Cannot be happier and recommend this phone.

  • Pros
    screen, camera, overall features
  • Cons
    sometimes unresponsive, size

At least my UK 2x came with a black rear cover, a grey plastic frame and with a HDMI cable. This is maybe the most iPhone4 alike Android set I‘ve seen so far. But its too big, the speed is less impressive than it should be and my old Nexus one was sometimes more responsive. The 2X totally lacks a notification LED and the famous trackball of the N1 would have been a great addition.
Android 2.2 is okay but outdated and LG doesn‘t seem to trust its own overlay as a home switcher is preinstalled. The LG keyboard is the best I‘ve tried yet (out of 15 at least).
The power button on the right hand side isn‘t very practical when holding the phone in the right hand, the camera isn‘t bad but still not as good as it should be with 8MP.
Not a bad phone, but far from perfect.
