I've been a Nokia fan for since ever, really pissed with the N9 (maybe because I am not techno on the aps). that I can't use PC suite for the calendar, contacts stinks no end as these are my 2 x critical loggings I use so frequently. Battery life, what life? crossing over to Samsung or what ever is more user friendly

Although I am not sorry for buying this phone, always been a Nokia fan. PC suite made my life real easy, now that I have to go through the internet connections to update calanders and contacts.it sucks no end

i am very diapointed in my nockia smart phone i have had it since feb 2012 battery already no working i am a voluntary fire fighter need my phone so pissed off cant waite till shops open tuesday

I have had my phone replaced 3 times in 4 months, there are allot of glitches in this phone!

N9 is the worst Nokia I've had,3months old , to be repaired again,battery runs down too quickly, now screen freezes, can't answer or make calls, last Nokia I'll own,my Business runs off my mobile, buying unlocked mobile on Monday

I just love the look of this phone and MeeGo on it. The feel is great.
Some things I want like put things in folders on homescreen will be included in next upgrade which is in Beta stadium and should arrive in a month or two.
No bookmarks is a huge mistake but there is an app to take care of it.
Considering this is the first release of the MeeGo I think it is suberb. Sure, there is room for improvments. How many phone generations have Apple had to refine iOS to what it is today.
Camera is great, built-in nav and free maps is something unique and to me it was one of the reasons I bought it.(I now have a lot of other reasons) It finds the GPS signal in an instant and has a great layout.
Nokia, please don't leave MeeGo!!
We have a MacBook Pro and an iPad at home. My wife is using a iPhone 4 as well so I'm pretty familiar with Apples products. They work great most of the times and fill their purposes. When it comes to the phone, N9 is the only option for me.

If i had to choose between the Nokia N9 and the HTC Desire, i would choose the HTC, the nokia N9 has a stupid battery life and a lack of apps.

Even thought there are really could apps, I would like to see more cool apps.
I still give to the Nokia N9 a 5 stars because it is what all smarthphones should be; about make life simple, about making yourself closer to your friends. It is not about been buried under Apps. It is about making communication easier and handling all of your accounts.

I absolutely LOVE my new N9. The only problem is, I have to charge it every 18 Hours. Battery life is abysmal, but it COULD possibly be because I mess around with it a fair bit. Still, I should be able to have Facebook running, and be texting the missus for at least 28 Hours before I have to recharge. Fingers crossed we get some sort of Software Update to fix this.

Nokia never said the N9 would be their "last" phone to run the Meego operating system. And judging by the buzz surrounding its release, as well as much critical acclaim from both the public and press, it seems likely this won't be the last Meego phone from Nokia. I'm certainly looking forward to getting my hands on one!

I have the 64GB N9, when I tried to Export my contact from my iPhone to N9, it is said: transferred failed....anyone can help me?

My N9 arrived yesterday. I opened the mini-USB cover to put it on charge overnight. All good today....except that the mini-USB port cover won't close ! It just springs up and sticks out. Not impressed. Sending it back to the retailer so haven't had a chance to actually use the phone

Why would you buy a phone which is the only one that will ever use Meego? You're resigning yourself to an effectively dead platform. Nokia fanboys are the worst kind of fanboys.

This N9 really rocks for it's simplicity ( swipe ) and design / quality , although I still prefer camera of my N8 over this N9 . This guy beats iPhone 4 in all daily user perspective as a smartphone ,not to mention it's 3.9" screen ( vs 3.5") is really good for web browsing and playing games ... most important , it's phone reception is top notch ( for a cell phone ), I experience dropped call from iPhone 4 and HTC Sensation and this guy ( and N8 ) never does . Love it !!

My iphone is no more. After a brief journey into appleland,I have now gone back to nokia. I had almost forgotten how easy they are to use and this N9 is very easy. The battery is as good as the iphone. And I hate itunes.

I didn't like the review too much and is not consistent e.g. with my experience of battery time etc. Review didn't seem very objective or thorough.

Only con is the lack of a big app store but then again, all the apps you need are on it.

Meego is not dead (nothing to do with nokia)
-pls get your facts straight.
n900 can get meego image if you want it.
Secondly, battery? compared to what?
I see a lot of people recharging twice a day...
what is the basis for your belief(or dont you have one?)
Dual-core? please do your homework an A8 is as fast(dmips) as the dual cores (iphone4s) and it is a faster OS. dual cores by nature are not 100%(declining returns) so the inference that it is better/faster is wrong.

LOVE THE STAR RATINGS FROM THE EXPERTS 3.5 STARS. I SUPPOSE THE EXPERTS ALL OWN I FOSS PHONES. THE NOKIA N9 IS A VERY GOOD PHONE AND YOU CAN AT LEAST SHARE DATA WITH OTHER PHONES. TRY DOING THAT WITH A IPHONE IF THE OTHER PHONE IS NOT IPHONE.

Best phone I ever had the first one were the U Experience seams like a continuation of the phones body.
The battery is good (as good if not better that all of the rest smart phones).

Excelent overall user experience no hiccups on normal use. Enough space for music and videos in the 64GB version. Excelent integration for skype and gtalk. Email app could be little better though. Also for very intensive use better CPU could help. I could not go back to Android after few hours with N9. I'm not in the app thing so it might be a barrier for some. N9 has everything I need from a smart phone and it's great to use (did I say that already?).
Now, you reader go to some mobile phone store and try it for some minutes. You will see the difference.
Some RANT:
I just can't understand why Nokia is abandoning this for WP. I don't understand why anyone would like to have WP device after using this for a few weeks. N9 is so much better than any WP devices I have seen and plans for next years WP8 are still missing too many things.

Purchased this phone a few days ago. Not overly tecno savvy but it seems the phone takes my lack of competence into consideration. Great machine to use so far. You can use it to its fullest extent (including writing your own apps from what I have read) or use it in its most basic form ie as a phone, camera, down and uploading and music along with other things I have failed to mention. I am missing a lot of voice commands that I had on my previous phone. Voice dialing for instance but am sure tha the great people at meego will accomodate at some point. All in all my opinion limited as it is, is that this is a real nice phone which should stand the test of time against the best of them

I absolutely love the UI! It's genius simplicity leaves iPhone and andriod ui in the dust. I hope that Nokia keeps Meego and Meego can be installed on andriod devices in the future. This is the thing that smartphones need. :D For all those naysayers, go test out the phone in the flesh and see the future :)

Nokia N9 is just the best phone Nokia has in his history, it was developed with the consumer in mind and not just as a consumer gadget.

Wow this doesn't seem like a bad phone.....Unfortunatlly Nokia is very late to the party with this one......MeeGo is dead....Not to sure how this will affect this phone.....maybe someone will actually release a Tizan phone

I bought my Nokia N9 more than a year ago, notwithstanding all kinds of snide and sarcastic remarks and reviews. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.
People say: "Nokia N9 ? Poor applications, dead operation system, blah, blah..."
All this evaporates once you begin playing with the toy. It is the simplest and most user friendly phone. Period...
All my friends have iPhones and Samsung Galaxys. They paid a fortune to buy them. Nonsense !
I am not interested in billions of "fart-apps" or silly games !
What I need is a ligtning fast, stable, reliable, sturdy, user-friendly smartphone with all the high quality applications and social networks built in.
Moreover, Nokia N9 has a lovely "swipe" action. No other smartphone has it.
It is a pure joy to use this phone. You can easily customise it too.
All in all, I'm a satisfied customer and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Don't be distracted by what others say. Follow your heart
You won't regret it at all...
