  • Pros
    New ICS?
  • Cons
    Everything

After using it for 5 months, by giving it a fair go, I can unbiasedly say that this rates as one of my worst smartphones investment of all time (delivered vs promise). I've been using smartphones since Compaq days, and the lack of basic features is appalling.

From build quality to basic functions, this reeks the brainchild of a designer in the early 20s, which caters too much to the socially connected crowd, and none of the ppc/smartphone basic functions. Coupled with volume, battery life, less than stellar updates (still on 4.02 even though 4.04 is out), crash problems, sensitivity problems, no PC agent, overly cloud centric, this is pretty much a phone with pretty looking(but relatively useless) apps and facebook.

It's totally useless to a business user out of box.

I naively thought with its customisability, that it can be eventually be catered to a tech savvy business user with the correct apps and some work, but I cannot be more wrong when build itself is screwy.

I'm done with google phones. IOS and Windows, I'm coming back to you.

Awesome phone, I am not disappointed in turfing my iPhone 4 for this. Would recommend it to anybody. I am with telstra and i regularly get data speeds upwards of 5mb/s in Melbourne

  • Pros
the interface, so easy. a pleasure to use
  • Cons
the software is flawed, fatally so. see my coment

So far im on my 3rd handset in 8 weeks and im taking it in tomorrow. The first 2 would type on their own WITH THE SCREEN LOCKED AND THE PHONE IN MY POCK. One typed abfour page message that read hghsjvbdjdbdkdbdjdbdjdnd ETC....

Tgis handset crashes REGULARLY. Apps close mid use for no reason. The phone turns itself off with a full battery and it overheats when in a case but nearly burns your head in a long call (more than 5 minutes and you can start to feel it). The issues with the third are new, but how many broken phones can you get?

Oh, always fine for 2 weeks and then BOOM

    Nothing

    The size, shape and weight

Galaxy nexus, the worst smart phone. Not user friendly atall. Messaging is plain white and you will never know a message is sitting unless you open the message. Tunring on, no good, apps, no good. Can not download music which can be easily done on galaxy. I bought a new nexux but threw away and use the old galaxy which is very user friendly.

  • Pros
    Looks

Volume. Vibration. Privacy. Basic phone apps

The Galaxy nexus is just utter RUBBISH. I am so sorry I bought this phone. Volume is too low. Vibration is poor. No T9 Keypad availabe, altough you can download an app for it. But hey.....Samsung should try and sell a phone that works. ICS or no ICS....keep away from it. I'm going back to my Samsung Galaxy S phone that does what it should do.

Headphone jack on the bottom is great. Who cares if you put your phone in your pocket upside down. When you pull it out you just flip it up and its right side up. Lazy people.

HD on my iMac that failed. Baaad Seagate!

It arrived yesterday, in my absence. :(

Feels and looks great. I concur, the battery cover isn't as good as the rest, can only hope I won't need to be removing it often. Another gripe, I'm not sure whether it's for Samsung or Telstra, is that the SIM I have is micro, not mini. Jiggling a micro so the contacts line up wasn't fun, if you can, get one of the adaptors.

Kudos to Mobicity for getting it to me.

Now I'm looking for a silicone cover, that could be interesting.

Yes Rob, we are so biased towards the iPhone that the Galaxy Nexus got 4.75 amd the iPhone 4S got 4.

You fanboys are absolutely incredible.

    Iphone 4S

I personally like the headphone jack on the bottom. I keep my phone in my pocket upside down so when you grab it out of your pocket and bring it up to use it, it's right side up. If its on top, you have to fold the wire over and it wears out right at the jack.

the reviewers blatant apple bias even when faced with a superior product

Ahhhh PC WORLD you're as much an apple shill as zdnet and cnet. By all accounts this is the best smart phone ever (a reviewers words not mine) and you still have to nit pick in ways related only to your OPINION I order to make the iphone seem better. I now know I cannot trust you opinion for anything mobile related...thank you for the eye opener

  • Pros
    plastic design
  • Cons
    not sure yet

How can the reviewer say that the all-plastic design is a negative? I own an Ipad2 and a Samsung Galaxy phone - I prefer plastic because its lighter. I find the Ipad2 to be a good device, but its cold metal back is less pleasant to touch than plastic. Apple products are heavier than they need to be.
