Avoid Viewsonic, it's expensive and it will fail. Mine began to loose power during the last months of the warranty... at first, on HDMI, screen was black until I unplug and plug the monitor again with the power cord. Maybe once a month... it became more frequent... Some weeks after the warranty expired, it began to be very instable and finally HDMI was dead. I switched to VGA and begin communicating with Viewsonic. During the procedure, VGA failed too! THey told me the warranty was over (of 5 months) and they won't do anything. So, 600$ for a 28 inches monitor and it works only 2 years and ½... it's maybe a little bit expensive! It cost 90$ to repair (internal power supply problem). I think they did good monitor in the past, but since they don't support their product soon after their warranty, like other good compatnies, it's my last viewsonic... You can imagine that for the higher price you'll buy quality, but NO! For the future, I prefer buy cheaper brand (250$ for a 28 inches Hanns-G tx and shipping included) and if he broke, I will change for a new one. And the brightness and contrast are better than the Viewsonic!
