Small size
bit tricky to set up

I have read all previous comments and can understand the frustration. Maybe I was lucky that there have been more firmware updates, but I connected the device to the TV without any issues, my sony vaio duo requested some software updates which I did with no problems, right after it recognized the device and tried to connect to it unsuccessfully. I then did the device firmware update following the instructions provided without any issue. However, the laptop did not manage to hold the connection, it would connect and disconnect right after. After a few trials the laptop automatically lowered the screen resolution from the default 1920x1080 to 1280x720 and voila, it was working flawlessly. After that I tried with my Galaxy S5 and worked at the first try. It does help to look into youtube videos to find the correct application to run on the mobiles. I hope this helps others. It does work, once you find your way around.

Netgear and there products sucks. Says you can update from your mobile device. Not true but they make sure they put it on there box and there website saying you can. Always skipping

Just purchased Net-gear Push2TV / PTV3000 According to tech. requirements listed on device I have the goodies, HTC One, Toshiba lap top, Sharp TV with HDMI + USB inputs. Step 3 is the problem, we can't get past it. We have checked out YouTube tutorials etc, + tried different methods to get it to work. For a device that is supposed to preform a pretty simple task, getting it connected to my PC / phone / my sons Samsung tab2 is impossible. It shouldn't be this hard, I'll be returning it tomorrow.

My PTV3000 works great now, but when I first connected it I had problems loading the firmware with the browse button. I worked around that problem by copying the firmware file to my USB (for a short path) and keying in the path to the firmware rather than using the browse button. I only connect with my laptop, but all features work as expected. I select the source to use from the television and then select the Intel WiDi program from my laptop. That connection time is only a few seconds. I recommend it.

With my windows widi, very slow (lot of lag in less than 1Mts distance) widi disconnects and had to restart both the devices. Did a firmware upgrade (30mins) tried to work it out, still a lot of lag. cuts out if more than 3mts. Called Netgear the next morning and returned the product, worst product ever

Wow Android copied something from Apple; Pseudo Airplay on Android phones, tablets and Windows Laptops. Let me preface this by stating that it works on 'some' of these devices as the listed compatible device list is very small. I have two Android devices that are supposedly supported, but didn't work at all. After purchasing the 'tiny' device and connecting to power and an HDMI cable (Not included) the device displayed on the TV properly but would not connect to either of my devices; Nexus 4 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 So I went to the site and downloaded the newest firmware and followed the tedious instructions, having to hold the button on the unit down for over 5 seconds while the unit loaded the firmware upgrading utility. Then I had to disconnect the Ethernet cable from my laptop and turn on wireless and log into an IP address, which didn't work until I disconnected the Ethernet cable, something they didn't mention in the instructions. I then selected the file that I downloaded, the unit did its thing, erasing, writing and verifying, and then rebooted itself. All seemed well.... but still could not connect to the unit. I contacted live chat through Netgear and the person walked me through the whole process over again, taking 5 times as long to complete sine I assume that he was helping others at the same time. PS it took 48 minutes to get someone to chat with, then another hour to complete what took me a few minutes prior to contacting support. HOW FRUSTRATING! the tech support guy eventually disconnected the chat before I was finished asking questions. I was so disgusted by they unit not being ready for public release that I just took it back, warning the store manager of the issues I faced, he also agreed that others all seemed to have problems with the units. what a waste of my time. You were warned, beware... PTV3000

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
