STAY AWAY FROM DELL!
I spent $2500 (equivalent of 20wks rent) on a high spec gaming XPS 17" laptop, which took 5-6wks to be delivered. It lasted 3wks before the expensive laptop failed & the screen started to leak multiple lines across the screen making it in-operable and I look after my laptop, stored it on my desk. It took Dell nearly 6wks I think before they sent a tech out & he couldnt fix the fault as he couldnt get the screws off. Short story its been nearly 5months & they still havnt fixed my laptop, currently its lost in logistics of trying to be repaired! Ive sent numerous emails into Support & they havnt replied to most of them, they never call me back, they closed my job with them without informing me, never provided updates on the job status, put me thru to multiple support staff after spending 20mins talking to them on the phone or halfway thru a conversation. Very frustrating & to make things worse I still havnt got my laptop back I sent it in for repair 5-6wks ago and they cant find it! I originally sent it in & they sent it back unfixed. Dicks. Terrible company, poor customer service that doesnt care and ignores my multiple emails & phones calls. Ive spent around 10hrs trying to get my laptop back, taking 2days off work unpaid to try and get my faulty expensive laptop back. STAY AWAY FROM DELL

  • Pros
    Sound and video quality
  • Cons
    Only 3 USB ports

I love this machine. I have owned my XPS for 6 months. The dual HDD makes backing up a breeze. The sound quality is amazing. As good as any HIFI. Very loud as well. Screen is awesome, crisp and bright and the quad core combined with the 8 GB RAM makes working on multiple applications at once a dream.
Dell in house warranty is worth the extra money and their customer service is great.
All in all this is a great desk top replacement machine. The lack of USB ports is inconvenient but this is the only down side. Priced very well for what you get.
Do yourself a favour and check them out
