Pros
Very responsive, 8G Ram
Cons
Software limited features ask you to pay to upgrade .

I use this mostly for HD lossless video editing for this it works very well. For re encoding projects it is a bit slow slower than my core 2 quad.

8G of ram helps all things along I am very happy with this purchase.

I have experianced the dreaded wireless LAN on off problem this doesn't happen that often to me but when it does I have to turn off and pull battery out to reset. If it starts to happen more I will just disable the quick start software myself certainly not a reason for me to return such a bargain of a laptop.

Hi Dazr,

I didn't have this issue with the review unit I looked at. My settings were set to "English (Australia)" for the region, and "English (Australia) - US" for the default input language of the keyboard. There were no other languages installed on my unit.

If you have multiple language entries for your keyboard, then look on the Windows Taskbar to see which language is being used. Maybe it is still set to English UK on the Taskbar is all I can think of.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Elias

Pros
Boot up and installed software
Cons
UK keyboard @/" sysmbol issue set is a fail
• • •

The @ symbol is in the wrong place even though it shows it above the '2' - keyboard is English Australia UK Keyboard extended.

I have to use " instead of @ and vice versa

Please fix this bug

I have reset the keyboard to English Australia and location Australia - Melbourne. This is right out of the box. Now I learn the hashtag (can't find that were it should be) all online help suggests US keyboard.

I am an intermediate/advanced user and this is total BS. Their Aldi/Medion helpline is Mon-Friday (useful not).

People online masquerading as Medion "help" want to charge for the advice. Aldi - ever heard of merchantable quality in consumer law? This is dumb in a new PC/laptop that has obviously been coming to Australia for a few years in different flavours.

The keyboard has everything in our layout - why not the software and language (see above - they're set and reset).

I have a few symbols of my own ****ts "%*&^ing

Hurry up and get on this. How come the reviewer didn't mention it? The various online forums cite Medion issues going back years. The legit solutions DO NOT work.

Surely, it can't just be my one new laptop!!!!!
