- ProsFine performance
- ConsNothing bad, really
A very fine machine for the price [US$500 in Thailand, with 4GB], including office work, graphics programs, videos and so on. Never had an "msi" before, but this hyas changed my mind

- ProsUSB 3.0, Hard drive, customizable
- ConsKeyboard feels a little cheap, trackpad is a little small
I was not turned off the u270 because of the fact that it looked less attractive than some of it's competitors, the main reasons I bought the laptop was because of the hardware customizability and the fact that it sported a large hard drive, right out of the box.
The fusion platform performs well under load, I managed to run left4dead2 on medium settings and team fortress 2 on high.
The build quality of the u270 is excellent, the plastic feels strong and it doesn't feel cheap. The pixel design on the palm rests and lid give the notebook a little touch of style.
On first boot, you are prompted to choose what (if any) programs you would like to instal, unchecking the boxes on the non-important programs gave me more space on the hard disk and seemed to speed the unit up.
I have two downsides to this machine, the first being that the trackpad is a little too small, but I guess that's what you expect when you purchase a sub-notebook, I'll stick to using a mouse.
The second downside was the fact that the keyboard feels a little cheap. I'm not quite sure as to what it is that makes it feel that way, possibly the glossy frame around the keys or the scissor style keys.
Overall its a very good machine, it has the ability to multitask several programs at once and play most games on low to medium settings due to the HD6310 built in.
Excellent for a student or a work laptop.

In the category of netbooks, this little guy is king.
It is my work rig.
I take it everywhere. Great Wifi and particularly the Gigabit lan jack. Great presentation tool. The HD audio on the HMDI jack is incredible. It doesn't stutter while playing big video files (15+ GB) on a plasma screen.
The only stumbling block for me was:
It took me a while to figure out that I had to disable the touchpad (fn+f3) in order to use a usb mouse properly. (I normally close the lid while working, and all of a sudden the mouse pointer started to "shake" by itself.) I give this netbook 5 stars.
