With an i7 processor and 8Gb ram the Sony Vaio Duo 11 is a powerful cross between laptop and tablet. The key is to recognize that it's not an iPad nor a laptop. In fact were it not for the absence of a trackpad it would be the perfect device in terms of form factor. The screen is brilliant and the backlit keys are a great bonus for a unit of this type. No other cross over device has the versatile connectivity options as the Sony Vaio Duo 11. Battery life is not great so the optional sheet battery is a must have plus it has a slot to store the digitizer pen. Unlike others I have no problem with the viewing angle in laptop mode. Although not a brick in terms of weight you probably won't be holding it in one hand for extended periods of time. The Sony Vaio Duo 11 is not for everyone so don't buy it on impulse. I think it compares well against the Microsoft Surface Pro and presents a better value overall (i5 processor configuration for both). As a Windows 8 hybrid the Sony Vaio Duo 11 deserves a close look.
