    drums get dirty always, cartridges leak, poor colour quality after a time, not being able to finish toners

We have three(plus one was replaced) of these printers in the office. One we have had no problems with. The other two we have had several problems. It is worth noting we have only ever used genuine toners in the printer.

1) Drums continually get dirty (sometimes every week it would need a clean) and are almost impossible to clean completely without spending hours on it. Note we would print on average 10 pages per day.

2) I have had two cartridges (genuine product) leak toner and it has been a big effort to get them replaced.

3) I have had to replace one printer as it broke and it was cheaper to replace the unit at $500 than get it fixed

4) The printing on one printer has been really good. On the other two very poor. One we had to have something replaced when it was first purchased as it was not printing reds properly. The other one has had very poor colours after about 6 months, even though toners were full.

5) My pet hate on all brother printers is that the machine tells you when the toner is empty, even though there is plenty of toner left. I broke one open to see how much was left and no joke there was almost half the toner left in it, except the machine would not let it be used any more.

While one of these printers we have had basically no problems with, the other two have been nothing but trouble. I am currently looking for a new printer, never again with this one!
