After moving house I did not use the printer a MFC-250C for six months. (The printer was new at this time) When originally set up I only used it to print six documents. When I attempted to use it would not print black. I bought all new cartridges at a cost of $70. After multiple attempts the wretched machine still won’t print black. So I have spent $90 originally on the machine, a further $70 on cartridges. That makes $160 total or a cost of $26.66 per document printed. Would I ever consider any Brother machine ever? DEFINITLY NOT!

After having this printer for about 14 months, I could not be happier with it, it printed, faxed, copied and everything else, until I went away from home, for about 6 weeks, came back wanted to print some documents, and it would not print, saying that it was low on ink, so I brought 4 new inks, and the stupid thing still would not print. I was told that the ink would stain on the heads or something if left alone for too long. It was only 6 weeks, and now the stupid thing won't work! Never a brother again!!
