I purchased this printer on the basis of this and other reviews. However a major drawback is envelope printing is extremely limited and cannot do simple envelope printing my old HP could.
You need to get deep into the advanced printer guide to find out that almost all types of envelopes are not suitable for this printer
Envelope printing is a basic function of any small business office these days and I consider this shortcoming very serious for the market the printer is intended.
I would NOT recommend the printer for small business use.

Just bought this a day or two ago and really only need the print, copy and scan facility. The Scanner is excellent through the Paperport software that came with it (I didn't know it did). The copier is fine. The Printer tends to impress two roller marks down each side of the page which I'm hoping may just be the fact that it's new - it will annoy me slightly if I'm wrong. Overall, though, I'm happy with it - paid £150 (which would be about $250?

I love my new Brother MFC-7360N, however, I do not like how the LCD doesn't light up when you are using it. You can make the lettering darker, however, I find it very difficult to read it when you need to use it. It should light up in blue like the color that shows up when you press fax, scan or copy.

All toner and drum pricing is based on 5% coverage of a page. When you print 10% coverage on the page ONLY the TONER price has to change to 10% usage, the drum always uses the same "life" for whatever coverage. This is where Brother is superior to products like HP. In South Africa the Brother MFC7360N is an entry level laser and runs at 21c per copy. If you double your coverage to 10% of the page printed, it goes to 36c. HP equivalents start at 30c per pg for 5% cover and the whole price doubles to 60c per pg for 10% coverage as the drum/toner are 1 unit. This is where the little Brother shines :) Not to mention Paperport is standard so scanning and archiving is a pleasure and so easy to use. The machine also seems durable and so easy to use. I switched from another brand years ago and haven't looked back!
