Visimax

ok well I just bought this today and I attempted to use in on my laptop but a message kept being projected that stated my resolution needed to be 800 x 600, which is what the manual stated, so i changed that on my computer, restarted everything. The error still comes up, this time it says the resolution should be less than 800 x 600 and less than 60 Hz.. ? I don’t understand why, this wouldn’t be such an issue if my laptops Hz went below 60 but its doesn't so now I have a useless projector that cost me a lot of money. ALSO I was unaware that when you plugged it into your computer there was no sound at all, I assumed you could have sound via the laptop but it wouldn’t even do that.. Am I doing something wrong, can anyone help me? I’m an 18 year old art student that bought this is order to project large images onto to canvas and desperately need this to work for my exhibit coming up...
