Wouldn't Turn ON!! I had it for one WEEK and a message of Operating sys not found and then the display turned off, then the keyboard backlights wouldn't turn on. Its DEAD JIM.

DO NOT BUY
Unreliable not worth the cost.
If SONY has better customer support and took alitle bit more time
for QA on its VAIO line this would have been avoided.
My laptop's HDD is fine, but I think it had a motherboard failure in less than a week
(been using it on a flat desk with good airflow and never moved) or the battery is faulty(but somehow holds a charge? ANyways.

You can't use it like a lambourghini that has a broken motor.
My laptop is a fancy brick now.
Not a reliable product. Sorry Sony, not this time.

Poor VAIO Customer Support
• • •

The message "Operating System Not found " appears Every 2:3 days and You lost your current data since September 2012 ( purchasing date). The VAIO Customer support give the same answer: it is Windows problem and You have to restore to the operating configuration to the September 2012. I made 4 time the restoring, the restoring was done by an expert computer center, and at the end the restore was done also by the official VAIO Support center. After that, I have the same issue and, as an electronic machine, the Italian VAIO Customer support still declares that is an Windows issue and it can be solved with the restore to the original Windows configuration. No chances to solve the issue. Please be carefful.

Fan, hard drive...something whining and about to make me go NUTS
• • •

Spent some dollars to have this nice looking and supposedly high end lap top, but that fan or hard drive or something that is WHINING is driving me flippin NUTS !!

Bad enough trying to get a handle on Windows 8 and the billion things you did with Windows 7 (and previous) without even thinking...but to have this whining noise....want to toss it out the window and only had this for 12 hours !

Pros
Nice design
Cons
It doesn't work

Lovely looking ultrabook - nice and light. Purchased about 6 months ago and hard drive kept shutting down. Took it back to store and was replaced with a new one which is now doing exactly the same thing. Frustrating. For the $$$, this thing should be bulletproof.

Pros
Elegant look. Good rapid awake response.
Cons
Using after 1 hour, it was getting very hot. The fan was making very loud noise. SSD failed within 2 months.

STYLISTIC Q702

First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.

STYLISTIC Q572

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
