Pros
Good screen, nice size, many accessories, usb charger
Cons
Short battery life, bad wifi reception, died in the pool
• • •

Good screen, works well even if wet. Good size and sound. Needs to be charged basically every day, which a bit annoying. It is not suited as "hiking outdoor phone" for this reason. To make it water resistant, the power and audio connectors are covered by tight plugs. The daily charging resulted in the plug breaking due to wear and tear. Two back covers are included, black and white. The white one is too slippery. Wifi reception is not very good. The screen is too small for internet browsing. The camera is ok in daylight but kind of disappointing in general. Video recording is good though. The camera button responded sluggish after 6 months. After 10 months it died after a quick swim in the pool. SonyEricsson says "exposed to water, warranty does not apply". Disappointed, will buy other brands in the future.

Pros
Very good for outdoor life etc..
Cons
Nothing really

I just want to correct myself: The phone has a "real" camera button! :)

After a couple of weeks with it I have to say it's a really nice little device!

Pros
Very good for outdoor life etc..
Cons
No camera button! (why on earth??)

Seems to be the perfect phone besides the lack of a "real" camera button. Just imagine trying to take pictures from the kayak, maybe with gloves on, by gently pressing the lcd.. Impossible i would say. Sad.

This phone humbles me with its overarching greatness, with the effect that I question my personal beliefs.

If you do not buy this, you are a fool

Cons

Great article and great to see phones become more durable. I personally use an iLoc Phone case to keep my phone extra safe when outdoors. It's great protection from rain and I use it everytime I go to the beach. I usually pick up a pack of ten of these cases but you can get a couple for just a dollar. I get them at ww.iLocStore.com

Pros
No redeeming qualities
Cons
Any Sony Smartphone

This is the most screwed up, convoluted OS I have ever encountered, in any iteration.

First impression on unpacking the Q702 test unit was the solid feel and clean, minimalist styling.

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
