Waited months to buy one of these only to find out that they want to rip us off. They have anoyed me to the point I am migrating my Email to zoho.com and am doing 99% of my searches on duckduckgo. I have a HTC android phone and have to maintain a google account for that, however I will be taking a good look at a Windows phone, if they ever get it running properly, or wait for a phone running on Tizen. good bye google.

This device should contain a warning "put down softly"! I watched my son drop the device ever so softly from a low height whilst in a leather protective case only to see the screen shatter in the top left corner. Certainly no Gorilla glass used here. The device is so sensitive, I guess that is what you get for a cheap product made by Asus - don't be fooled by the google name! I tried calling google to ask about repair only to be passed onto Asus who then made it extremely difficult to speak to anyone. Once I finally got through to a representative I was summarily told that a shattered screen is not under warranty - what a surprise. The repair cost is about the same as buying the device plus postage which I must pay because they have no store front. A shocking experience all round. I buy the product and get charged $20 postage to send in metropolitan Melbourne, the device shatters with the greatest of ease, it is hard to find how it might be repaired, then it is totally uneconomic to repair and you have to pay for postage! Wow. Stick with Apple, the products and service are a long term investment rather than a short term cost like this Asus google product. Hope this helps someone else avoid a problem.
