I've had notebooks since 2001, three of them were Toshiba and two of those Toshiba notebooks had HDD issues including this one. It failed just in three months after the warranty expired. I'll fix this one by replacing the HDD with SDD, but my next new laptop won't be Toshiba...

I bought this a year ago for $1600 lol

It's a good computer but overheats a lot, probably just because Australia is so hot.

Haven't had any other problems besides the overheating but since I bought a cooling pad it hasn't overheated, been running well for a year.

I was pleased to buy this at half RRP as it was a demonstrator model, but it has had to go for repair as it was mistreated in the store (fairly quick pick-up & return). I have the 64-bit Win 7 version and just need to upgrade ram for the full user experience. I love it and my kids are very jealous. Haven't tried the 3D yet or used a blue-ray disc. Does everything I need from work to pleasure :)

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
