Kogan 55" 3D LED TV with PVR

Kogan's 3D TV is at least $500 less than competitors, but is it missing $500 worth of features?

Sound quality, no industry standard digital audio output

Happy enough with the picture, especially considering the price, but the sound quality is what you'd get from a 60's transitor radio. We've now fitted a Yamaha sound bar and it's pretty good all round. However, as there is no industry standard digital audio output regardless of what Kogan claim, you need to run an analogue audio signal from the TV. There is no digital audio pass-through capability either, so when running a Bluray / DVD player etc. you will need to run audio directly from your player to your home theatre system in addition to the HDMI to the TV.

The 3D function is basically a rubbish sales gimic.
