It is a fairly straight forward process to install .apk files to the TV. When first purchased, it was far from a smart tv. I have installed upnplay and it works great. (I have a synology NAS drive with music etc stored on it) Soniq would be better off changing the firmware so it simply runs a standard version of android rather than worrying about their own version of market. I have owned one now for nearly a year. Now that I have set it up with various app's it is much better. Even after this time, I am still struggling to program the TV to record a program.
