Richard - why would you expect a limitatoin of windows 7 would be mentioned on a digital western product review ?

Go to the microsoft windows 7 page and complain there, including network drives in a library has NOTHING to do with a NAS.

My god i cant believe how slow this thing is, i thought an ethernet connection to my home network would be faster than a usb connection, so i have made a small nas pc with an all in one nano itx board and a few hard drives that saves data at about 12x the speed and cost about the same.

I have installed a 1 TB external HDD for my brother and it quit powering on. I don't have a problem with Windows since I just have it mapped via the LAN I built for him. This is the 2nd external HDD I have installed at his place. The 1st one, he placed in a cabinet above his computer and we figured it quit working because of heat. This one however, was placed on top of his CPU where it could get plenty of circulation. The fan won't even power much less providing power to the HDD's.
What is a dependable HDD for me to install for him?

For work use, Microsoft Word and Excel programs pre-installed on the device are adequate for preparing short documents.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
