Best iPhone navigation apps

The dominance of Apple's iPhone is largely thanks to its App Store, and some of the most useful third-party applications are fully fledged navigation apps that take advantage of the phone's GPS capabilities.
There is no shortage of GPS-based apps available for the iPhone, including from big brands like TomTom, Navigon and CoPilot Live, as well as lesser known players like Sygic and NDrive.

ALK Technologies' CoPilot Live 8 for iPhone app has an excellent user interface and a great map screen, but erratic GPS performance and a few missing features hinder its appeal. With future software updates to correct its issues, this GPS app has the potential to be one of the best available for the iPhone.
