Edimax 3G-6210n

Compact, portable and flexible, the Edimax 3G-6210n wireless 3G portable router does its job well. It may be a little pricey when you can pick up a Wi-Fi modem with built-in 3G capabilities for a similar price, but for those who already own a USB modems, the 3G-6210n comes recommended.

Heap of crap, not only overheats, but the USB connect snaps off and Telstra refuse to acknowledge it is a fault.

Total fail....

This seems like its all to common but yeah this is a load of crap!! Telstra wouldn't accept my credit card to recharge (regardless of having previously used it with no problems). Telstra refused to acknowledge technical issues OR ANY on their part. As a result of Telstra system denying my credit card, they have blocked me from trying to recharge with any cards for 60 days!! THIS MAKES NO SENSE! Telstra sort your crap out! COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY!

I bought on a 'guarantee' of service but have NEVER had even 1 bar but yet I 'used' 5 gb without ever putting in a code startup disc etc?? I am now close to $200 out for Internet I have never been able to use Telstra are rude arrogant and have no idea about customer service the stores are even worse if you can believe it I now moved 3 mobiles home phone and Internet else where!! I may be quiet and a little shy but I am NO idiot to keep paying them for nothing! I still however have their modem and asked to unlock it (it's been 2yrs) they said no pay us!!!

Other comments here are interesting and a total contrast to my own experience. I bought one 12 months ago through Vodafone (who ARE crap). The pocket WiFi has been brilliant. Minor connectivity issues (yep, thats Vodafone), and care must be taken with charger connection lug, but I have found it great. I've connected my smartphone, laptop and NextBook with it and have used them in shopping centre coffee shops all over Australia - connecting through the pocket WiFi. So, I find other peoples experiences quite interesting (all with Telstra ?).
