Best mini PCs

Here's a list of the smallest desktop, media centre and slimline PCs we've reviewed

If you don't have much space to store a computer tower, a mini PC is a great choice. Whether it's a slimline case or media centre unit, or a pint-sized computer like the Apple Mac Mini, these models offer as much grunt as a regular PC despite being a fraction of the size.

HP Pro 3130 (WL831PA)

If you're just writing up invoices, sending e-mails or browsing the Net, then the HP Pro 3130 (WL831PA) will serve admirably. It's not appropriate for more intensive tasks like design or video rendering though, due to its small hard drive, low-powered graphics and inferior RAM fit-out.
