Best 7 inch tablets

We round-up the best 7in tablets on the market

Apple has promoted a one size fits all approach with its 9.7in iPad and iPad 2 tablets, but this doesn't mean you aren't left with other choices.

For many users, the iPad's 9.7in screen makes it too large — some consumers would feel more comfortable using a smaller tablet with a 7in screen. This means that it can easily slip into a handbag, or suit jacket pocket.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab kick-started the 7in tablet market, but a host of devices have followed including the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.

If you're looking for the ideal 7in Android tablet, the Acer Iconia A100 is not it. Keep looking.
