Best smartphones: Editor's choice (August 2011)
- — 24 August, 2011 11:14
Are you in the market for a new smartphone? See what our expert reviewer's recommend with our editor's choice selections. These smartphones are a rank of the top 10 handsets based on personal selection by the PC World Australia editorial team.
The smartphone market is dominated by Apple's iPhone and Google's Android platform, and this is reflected in our August editor's choice list. Along with the iPhone 4, our top 10 list for this month includes six Android smartphones, including HTC's flagship Sensation, and the excellent Samsung Galaxy S II. We also found room for two Windows Phone 7 devices, and the BlackBerry Bold 9780 remains a favourite, even though its soon to be superseded by the Bold 9900.
8 / 10
For current BlackBerry users who aren't interested in a touchscreen device, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 comes highly recommended: it possesses a great keyboard, best-in-class e-mail capabilities and a refreshing new interface. However, it offers little incentive for others to switch to the BlackBerry platform.
