Are you in the market for a new tablet that's not an iPad? It may seem like Apple's the only player in this space but that's certainly not true.
Although most other tablets aren't as popular as the iPad, there are plenty of valid alternatives. Whether it's Google's excellent Nexus 7 for a compact alternative, or the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity for a notebook style experience, here are the best tablets on the market without an Apple logo.

The Toshiba Tablet AT270 has an excellent display, a good design, comfortable ergonomics and impressive performance. However, at $539 the AT270 is an incredibly tough sell given Google's Nexus 7 provides far superior value. Tough to recommend, barring a massive price drop.
