This is an inexpensive yet potent gaming machine that is small and neatly built. It's worth considering if you are after a machine that can play the latest games.

If you're a serious gamer, you need a serious machine — and a serious wallet. This $5011 Altech NRG PC is about as serious as they come. It's beautifully built, has a GeForce GTX 280 SLI graphics card configuration and plenty of straight-line speed thanks to its overclocked quad-core CPU.

The Altech Tornado eXtreme is an enthusiast's PC without a doubt. If you want to play the latest games and run taxing applications, the Altech NRG Tornado eXtreme is a great choice, despite its high price tag.

The Altech Sputnik X2 is a good budget PC, or a good starting point for upgrading to a more powerful configuration in the future. We're disappointed at the lack of even a cheap graphics card, but the DVI output of the ASRock motherboard at least offers a digital output. We found it to be a little noisy for such a bare system, but overall it offers fairly good value.
