Guitar Hero: Modern Hits never really justifies itself as an upgrade from the stellar Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades. Still, any on-the-go rock star is bound to have a blast with the ageless GH gameplay, not to mention the return of plenty of classic characters and brand new venues.

I stuck with Badman, partly because I had to for the review and partly because I felt the need to finish what I started. I liked the deep strategy but I was as frustrated as I was entertained. If you're a hardcore puzzle master with the patience of a saint, by all means pick up this bad boy and give it a spin. But if you are a casual gamer looking for a quick fix you may want to turn the other cheek.

It's way too early to make a definitive judgement on the Sony PSP Go, but from our early hands-on experience, we can't wait to find out more.

Class of Heroes throws players back to a time when RPGs lacked silly costumes, big anime hair, and self-important cut scenes. Okay, so Class of Heroes still has the silly costumes and big hair. But it also has miles of dungeon-crawling and monster-killing in its purest, most unforgiving form.

An intriguing blend of role playing action and real time battles, Devil Survivor is a fun, if not quite groundbreaking installation to Shin Megami Tensei lore.

For those looking to fill the void for a zany platformer, Starfy is your starfish. There is enough content to keep gamers satisfied for quite some time. Still, if your looking for a true challenge, I'd suggest passing this one over.

Knights in the Nightmare is quite solid: the artwork is downright gorgeous, the music's pleasantly chilling and even the somewhat convoluted story has solid legs to stand on. Sadly, the gameplay suffers from one of the most ridiculous and unrelenting learning curves I've ever seen in any modern tactical role-playing title.

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is an addictive RPG that is able to adequately separate itself from the me-too crowd with an accessible and unique battle system. It's surprisingly simple to pick up and play, but like any good RPG worth its weight in gold pieces, the real reward comes from mastering its finer points.

As a rhythm game, Unplugged is a wonderful portable title. Its addictive gameplay, stunning visuals, and fantastic setlist make it a must-own for PSP gamers. Even with its multiplayer shortcomings, an accessible Rock Band music store and a myriad of hard-rocking features and modes are more than enough to make up for any of Unplugged's shortcomings. I can't help but recommend it — it's a much needed musical experience for the PSP.

Endless Frontier is an eye-catching game from the start. When I first picked it up, I literally didn't take it out of my DS for a solid month. Don't think about it, just try it.

Weighing in at five cases, Miami Law isn't a terribly long game nor is it terribly original, but for what it is — a rather mindless police point and click — it's a decent enough adventure.

While Lux-Pain isn't a terrible game by any means, it's really just more so confusing than anything else.

While I salute Flower, Sun and Rain for its innovation and uniqueness, its mind-boggling puzzles met with surreal gameplay makes for one hell of a trip in every sense of the word. One moment a modern masterpiece and the next an absolute chore, Flower, Sun and Rain is an intriguing adventure that you should only think about embarking on if you're in it for the long haul.

If you yearn to play a game that reminds you of exemplary titles in this classic genus, or if you've just stepped away from the genre for too long, you'll find all the basic meat and potatoes in Crimson Gem Saga.

Treasure World is a great first step in trying to offer something new, but it ultimately feels like a tech demo rather than a full-fledged retail offering.
