Some may be disappointed that this isn't a 'true' sequel, and others will lament how the new areas don't fuse with the current world, but the bottom line is simple: no WoW player will be disappointed with this expansion. Get it now!

When we first saw Dragon Age at E3, we walked away sceptical, grumbling at the rough graphics and odd focus on character interactions that bordered on high school level drama. Compared to the butter smooth E3 demo for Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age looked like it would end up being the black sheep of the family. Well, shame on us for doubting the wizards at BioWare: they worked their magic and turned that early demo into another must-have masterpiece. Deep and engaging, it's sure to please any RPG fan looking for a long and satisfying adventure. Even better, it will keep us all busy until Mass Effect 2 comes out in 2010.

Put simply, Company of Heroes is a masterpiece. Its dedication to realistic battle concepts and tactical warfare is enough to make it a high watermark for the RTS genre but its excellent graphics and physics, along with an intensely enjoyable single-player campaign and multiplayer options, help make this an instant classic.

Crysis is an enticing adventure all the way through to the end. It's a worthy follow-up to the excellent Far Cry and a great step forward for PC gaming as a whole.

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath exhibits the same sense of polish and depth that made the original Tiberium Wars such a classic. RTS fans who can't get enough of the Command & Conquer universe should definitely check this one out.

One thing I was disappointed by was the lack of an offline skirmish mode. There is no Soviet campaign, so there is way for you to get a feel for the Soviet units without going online, which is a shame. In spite of this, World In Conflict features some of the most innovative ideas in the genre and combines it seamlessly with engaging and thrilling gameplay. It's a definite winner and is my front runner for RTS game of the year.

It's obvious after my limited play time that Splash Damage did a bang up job of crafting a fun and addictive team-based FPS experience. I feel like I just barely scratched the surface and can't wait to dig down deeper into what the game truly has to offer. I really do hope that a lot of players buy the game and hop online, if only so I can be guaranteed a steady stream of opponents to play against.

Without a doubt, Supreme Commander is a game of epic proportions that will offer an outstanding RTS experience for the far foreseeable future, and for that it deserves an equally massive amount of praise.

Command & Conquer 3 is a welcome return of the C&C brand and a fitting conclusion to the Tiberium trilogy. One of the finest RTS games to date.

Few expansion packs come loaded with as many new features as Relic has seen fit to put in -- two entirely new sides, an equal number of expansive campaigns, and enough potential multiplayer action to keep any player occupied for months. With that said it's not hard to recommend Opposing Fronts to either returning veterans or eager newcomers; both will find something new and exciting waiting for them on top of an already stellar base.

The Witcher is an extremely fun game with the nasty habit of succumbing to narcolepsy at the most inappropriate moments.

So much depth and innovation makes Sins a joy to play, yet also quite involved. Games last no less than an hour from start to finish, while most take a few hours at least. This prevents the game from being a casual play, but if you're able to invest the time it's well worth it.

If you're hoping for a game that will melt your eyes with cutting-edge graphics and stimulate your mind with a deep, highly customisable online experience, Call of Duty 4 is probably your game.
