Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is a compelling purchase for party game and curling fans alike. If it's a quick bout of fun you're after, it's hard to go wrong.

To be blunt, The Conduit is a by the numbers shooter that offers a couple of thrills but ultimately doesn't make much of an impact. If your system of choice is the Wii then I suggest you check it out, as action games are few and far between on the platform and The Conduit does have its positives; anyone who loved Goldeneye will want to give a look as well if only to get a nice dose of nostalgia. But the rest of you shouldn't feel a need to abandon your favourite next-gen shooter for this one.

I didn't quite know what to make of Let's Tap when it first showed up in the GP offices, and was even more surprised at the amount of attention it was drawing. When I finally sat in on a few rounds of Tap Runner, I'll admit — I was automatically intrigued. Interesting control mechanics meet surprisingly solid game design in this fun, if simple title.

Fans of House of the Dead and horrendously cheesy 70s horror flicks will definitely get a kick out of House of the Dead: Overkill, a flawed but tremendously fun shooter for the Wii.

GamePro's local historical wartime buff Andrew enjoyed this promising, if flawed Total War title, and totes it as the best one in the series, even with its problems.

When Pat first booted up MadWorld, the ensuing screams of chainsaw mayhem brought editors and staff members a-running from every corner of the building. Every single person in the office crammed into the test cube to watch the bloody spectacle and holy hell were we impressed. Dark, brutal and hilarious in just the right way, MadWorld is a title that has rocketed to the top of every staff member's must buy list. Don't let the fact that it's on a "kiddie console" fool you-this is one title every "hardcore" gamer needs to play, provided you're over eighteen years old, of course. Is it any wonder that it earned GamePro's coveted Game of the Month award in our May issue?

Oh, Sonic — what happened to you? While the Blue Blur's definitely seen better days, there still may be some fun to be had with the speedster's latest medieval opus for die-hard fans.

It's tough to teach an old dog new tricks — Sonic Unleashed tries to introduce new ideas with daytime and evening levels that switch between speedy platform and bulky action, but only the former has any bite. Sonic doesn't need to experiment, he just needs a good dose of the nostalgic design that makes up half of this mediocre game.

Bioware knows how to craft a compelling RPG but Sonic Chronicles lacks the depth and complexity of its previous titles. As such, its simplistic gameplay and story will definitely appeal to younger gamers but more mature gamers might want to reserve their excitement for Bioware's next effort.

Overall, PictoImage is a very simple game, but nothing special or too innovative. The sound and gameplay are both very repetitive and met with standard-fare graphics that just get the job done. If you're enough of a Pictionary enthusiast, then it might be worth saving yourself the trouble of purchasing this game and just picking up the real thing.

Space Siege must have seemed a good idea on the drawing board but the execution definitely leaves something to be desired. It had so much potential; just imagine the loot and skills they could have built into the game! Unfortunately, Gas Powered Games forget all the elements that make the games in this genre so damn fun and addictive. It's really a shame because had they done it right, it would have made the wait for Diablo III that much more bearable. But as it stands, this is without a doubt the worst addition to the Siege series yet.

Beijing 2008 manages to overcome most of the usual issues of video game adaptations, and in doing so provides a decent game that will appeal to competitive gamers. Gameplay is flawed in some sporting events, but there are some surprising control schemes that make some of the lesser sporting events fun.
