Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo)

Though time will tell whether it achieves the same phenomenal success of the original, Wii Sports Resort has the great same mix of innovation and accessibility. Much like how you marvelled at the first swing of the bat in Wii Sports, tossing your first frisbee or shooting your first arrow will be just as fun as it is memorable. Andrew's right--it's not perfect, but it is an awesome tech showcase and a damned fun game.

For those looking to fill the void for a zany platformer, Starfy is your starfish. There is enough content to keep gamers satisfied for quite some time. Still, if your looking for a true challenge, I'd suggest passing this one over.

Punch-Out!! (Nintendo)

There's no denying it: Punch-Out!! is some of the most fun I've had on the Wii in quite some time. A spectacular trip down memory lane, Punch-Out!! manages to capture the old-school essence that made the 1987 original such a success, all the while integrating just enough new material to help it hold its own. While Punch-Out!! is by no means perfect, it's undoubtedly one of the finest arcade-inspired titles to grace store shelves in this "next gen" era, and is without a doubt worth any hardcore fight-fan's hard-earned cash.

New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis (Nintendo)

New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis is contradictory to what the series should be doing. The game controls much worse on the Wii, and what's more, it wasn't a treasured title to begin with. You're better off going back to Wii Sports Tennis.

Excitebots: Trick Racing (Nintendo)

Excitebots: Trick Racing is one of the most intense and frenetic racers I've ever seen, and it actually brings quite a few new things to the genre. However, the audio and visual elements of the game aren't quite as impressive, and the gameplay is sometimes too hectic for its own good.

Let's be real: It's Pokemon. That's really all I can say. It's a great game, and if you're a die-hard fan like yours truly, then you probably own it already, and this review won't change your mind. That said, it's still the same great game it's been for the past ten years with a fresh coat of paint and some fantastic new features.

Rhythm Heaven (Nintendo)

A portable gamer through-and-through, I'm pretty used to playing any number of DS or PSP games during my daily bus journeys. Rhythm Heaven, however, may be the first title that's officially engrossed me enough for me to not only miss my regular stop altogether, but find myself the victim of a "Last stop!" call, dumping me a good thirty miles from the GamePro offices. Trust me — it doesn't look good on an expense report.
