Sony Ericsson's Yari mobile phone promises a lot but fails to deliver anything new, aside from gesture gaming. While this is a noteworthy feature, we really can't see mobile games taking off on such a small screen. What you're left with is a basic slider phone with a pretty good camera -- but we've seen it all too often before.

It's not the game changing handset that it looked like it would be when it was first announced, but the panel system has its merits and the display and design are first class. If you’re purely after a phone for imaging, then the C905 will be right up your alley. While we’re still waiting for optical zoom, the photos it produces are pretty noteworthy for a camera phone. An excellent design and good build quality are slightly let down by a somewhat sluggish user interface and a proprietary headphone jack.
